To do this, you must LOOK, LISTEN and FEEL! LOOK to see if their chest is rising. LISTEN for their breathing. FEEL their breath against your ear. Often, simply opening the Airway is sufficient to allow the unconscious person to breathe. If this is so, simply hold the persons head back, or support their neck with a shirt or shoe. If there are no breaths in 10 seconds, you must breathe for them.
